Be Strong and Courageous!

Horse painting with blue eyes, quote,
I know life is hard sometimes. It overwhelms us. But our life is precious. It is the cares of the world and the attacks of the enemy that cause our feet to slip. God directs us to be strong and courageous. To the point, of, "having done all to stand." I just have to share my testimony to give hope that you are stronger than you think. You are precious to the Lord. You know the enemy wants to harm you and often, that harm comes from the thoughts he manages to plant in your head. Pay sweet close attention to whose voice you hear. God says, "Be strong and courageous." Take a breath... know you are not alone, and that what you face will not last forever. It might not even matter 10 minutes from now. Perhaps it might take until tomorrow to be better. Maybe even all week. But this too shall pass.

Or... it might be like a battle I face or other loved ones I have come to know with similar battles. Our loved ones fight for their lives every day with diseases, challenges, and overwhelming odds against them. It is hard to be in this kind of battle. It helps to remember not sweating the small stuff and things that won't matter 10 minutes or a week from now. Always, our perspective rules our heart. Change your perspective, change your life. God's perspective to uplift our heart, "Be strong and courageous!" because "The Lord your God is with you!" You are not alone. (Joshua 1:9 Be strong and courageous, Do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.) On our darkest day, even that will not be forever. To my friends fighting serious battles. I pray and believe for healing for all our loved ones. I humbly bow my heart to the Lord our God and admit I don't understand, but the enemy is not going to rob me of my belief God is good and to press in for a miracle. And if we don't get that miracle, life is still good, and one day, God will wipe away every tear. I have had a lot of tears. My heart is tender to the afflictions I see around me and mercy runs deep.

This is the love of God in His saints for one another. We are to be compassionate, it is His way. We need each other. We don't have all the answers and we may not know what to say to one who is hurting. But mark my word, just knowing someone cares about you is all the difference in the world. It is a tangible feeling given by the saints of God of His love. We are His hands and feet. We help each other to be brave. to "be strong and courageous."

Press on. Don't give up. God is good. We may not have the answers, but I believe while we know not one thing of the reason for what we face, while we are attacked and tossed and living in a storm, the King of Peace beckons our heart to rest. He is on the throne and working on our behalf even if we don't see it. I KNOW this. God's love is my saving grace. God's love is the only thing big enough for all the pain in the world. One day, if we don't see our miracle here, we will be at peace in all things. In heaven, there will be no more tears.

Until that day, don't crumble, don't give up hope, don't let go of God's promises, press in, "be strong and courageous!" STAND! Press on. Take your land back. And when you are weak, God will be your strength. Fall in his arms until you are strengthened again.

Much love,
Bryan's Mom (Pam)

If you have not read my testimony and Bryan's story, I invite you to read it and hope it is an encouragement. I have been through many battles of my son fighting for his life after having been hit by two cars while walking. He was going to be a missionary and this happened just days after he got his passport. It is hard to even wrap your head around it, but I will rest my heart and stand and be courageous. And rest in God with all my hope. I pray my son is healed this side of heaven, but if not, one day for sure, he will be made whole, and so will my heart. And you, too my friend, will be made whole.

Here is Bryan's story if you have not read it:  www.pamherrick.com/inspirational-prophetic-art-and-story.html I pray it is an encouragement.

Path Of Hope

Path Of Hope Prophetic Art painting - Just For You Prophetic Art - original painting by Pam Herrick
Thy Word is lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalm 119: 105. Sometimes in life we may feel lost. Tears as I first started to write this post. I can relate. We do our best, we build our life, but the cares of the world can sweep us away and we lose our firm footing, our peace of mind. Life can be hard sometimes. The reason for my tears, try as you might, we just lose sight sometimes of the prize and the real reason for living.

Life can be altered on a dime, and the simple things that add up to so much that overwhelm us, really are not that big when you sit back and look at the big picture. Sometimes, we just have to step back, breath, look, regroup, listen to God, and walk on.

Let the mistakes go, let that gnawing feeling of failure go. Maybe you don't have that feeling, but I sure do. I heard one time the saying, play new tapes in your head. Do you know what I mean? We beat ourselves up with a list of all we have done wrong. We have a long list since as far back as we can remember, The older we are, the longer the list.

I have learned to play new tapes in my head, what God says about me and His love and encouragement. Many times I am successful, but oh how quick the old tapes want to emerge. You know who brings them back to mind, the enemy, the devil, wants you to remember. He wants you to live life on the side of defeat. The side where you feel you can do nothing right, or not good enough. He wants you to forget how loved you are and that God is not looking at the mistakes, but on where He knows you are going, and not only that, God knows you are going to make it.

His Word truly is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. That is a living daily knowledge to work out. We don't hear that wisdom from the Lord and then live our life happily ever after without attacks of our own shortcomings, failures, mistakes, bad old tapes playing in our head... We work it out. We look back to God. We hear what He has to say about it. And what He says, is, His plans for you are good. Your sins are forgotten. You are free from the burden of sin. Jesus paid a price and took it all for you. It is a done deal.

So to continue in the pain of it, and to live life on the side of regret, is not the Lord's will for you. Don't live there. Remember, walk in the Light of the Lord. Embrace life and the beauty of it. Live life on the high side of your heart and walk there, don't go to the dark. Let God's glorious light give you a good path to walk on. Hear Him. His voice is strong and clear. It is good. If you feel beat up, you are hearing the enemy of your soul. Don't listen. If God has something to say to you to give correction, it will be with a sense of relief you can be given the grace to get it right and you will take a step to do so. He is not going to beat you up over and over for a mistake. The enemy will be the one to do that to cause you pain. God convicts to cause you peace. There is a huge difference. Once dealt with with God, it is over, and you walk on in His grace with a humble thankful heart. A free heart.

I said tears when I started to write this, because I have learned how to play good tapes, but... the bad ones still come sometimes, well, often actually, but I do my best to stay on the thankful side of life and walk in love. But, when I read the words to this song, the anointing hit me and the Lord's still small voice hit me right where I was feeling like a failure.

Many of you know the battles I have with my son who is semi-comatose from traumatic brain injury. You can read his story on my about page here,www.pamherrick.com/inspirational-prophetic-art-and-story.html Well, he is a step above that. They just don't know what to call it. You can tell when he is awake and he looks around. He sighs when I hug him or moans when he does not like something, but other than that, he can not communicate.

My tears came from areas I have felt like I have failed him and my family. Something in me beats me up to think I should do more, or better, or right. Old tapes playing that I can't do it good enough. The area the enemy has learned works to hurt us, he will keep pounding away to get you. Tears again coming to my heart and eyes as I realize, I have been tricked yet once again, and tears of thankfulness to know with God's grace, it is all gone and my own heart can walk on clear with a purpose, without guilt.

When your child is hit by a car, in Bryan's case, two cars while walking, your whole world stops and many of the hustle bustle cares of life just stop, on a dime. You see what really matters, not that I did not know what matters. Family, love, that is what matters, But the 101 list of things continually playing in my head to do, just was not even looked at or thought about. Life stopped. The cares of life stop. All that mattered was being there with my son as he fought for his life. It taught me a great deal in that the cares of the world can take care of themselves. You don't have to fret so much. And yet, all these years after my son's accident, I have slowly been taken aback from the cares of life once again. I cried because I was overwhelmed and felt I had lost my way. I did not even know I was feeling that way until I read those words and God's light shone right on the pain in my heart. Tears falling as I write. I did not even know it hurt so bad there. Tears of comfort as well because I am feeling God's healing, even as I write.

My dear friends. I write to tell you, that if you have been overwhelmed by life or guilt, it is not God's plan for you to live like that, you can lay it down. You can give Him your burdens. And walk from the lighted place in your heart. His Word heals. "He sent His Word and healed them."

He tells us to lift up our countenance, to have hope, to know the height and depth and breadth of His love. I need to remember every day of my life to walk in His love and the light of His ways. That is where we are safe, That is where our heart forgets the bad and the pain. That is where we learn forgiveness of our own selves and can extend it then to others. Living out part of the Lord's prayer, "forgive us our trespass as we have forgiven those that trespass against us." It is learning to live life in love and hope and a path of light and goodness. To simply know you are loved and freedom to live from a good place in your own heart. Not beat up. Not even by your own words and bad old tapes.

I pray grace for you to hear God's good tapes in your head, all the days of your life. Keep listening to Him, keep following His beautiful PATH OF HOPE!

AMY GRANT SONG,
THY WORD:

Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.

When I feel afraid,
Think I've lost my way,
Still you're there right beside me.
And nothing will I fear
As long as you are near.
Please be near me to the end.

Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.

I will not forget
Your love for me and yet
My heart forever is wandering.
Jesus be my guide,
And hold me to your side,
I will love you to the end.

Nothing will I fear as long as you are near.
Please be near me to the end.

Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path,
And a light unto my path.
You're the light unto my path.

There is power in your praise!

Prophetic art painting of angel with Holy Spirit fire by Pam Herrick from www.JustForYouPropheticArt.com
Our praise releases power here in our earthly realm. There is something so pure in the trust of turning to our Lord in our times of trouble. We are acknowledging Him and His power to change our circumstances. Even when our praise amounts to just wanting to crumble in the arms of Jesus, we are acknowledging our trust in Him. Turning to God for help, is a form of praise. It is not to ignore our problems, but to know we are not alone in them. My prayers to all my brothers and sisters going through a hard time right now. God is on the throne and your trust and praise in Him is going to deliver you. You will go from glory to glory. You will become stronger each time!

You can look back on what God delivered you from and give praise that will carry you through your current battle. It is the power of your own testimony to your own heart! Glory to God for His unfailing love for each of our hearts. I know there have been many of nights I just crumbled in the arms of Jesus, and that was my saving grace at the moment. Sometimes we are on the mountain top and sometimes we feel like we are crushed under it, but as long as we keep turning to God and put our eyes on Jesus and not the problem, we are going to be delivered! God bless!

Pray Big!

Red Butterfly painting by Pam Herrick - Just For You Prophetic Art, Quote
Pray Big! Ever think all you have now is fruit of your prayers? Every victory from a prayer whispered? By pray big, I don't mean harder, I mean think big! What do you need? A better marriage, a kinder spouse, more peace? Your own heart healed? Build it with God. His plans are good for you. Just take a minute and look at the things in your life that came from prayer. You just know it did. Well, don't forget you are building tomorrow today with your prayers. And when thinking of prayer, think like this, talk with God all day, live a prayer, walk with Him. He so loves our company and to see our joy. If you don't see what you think you want right away, know God is on the throne and working on your behalf according to His good will for your life, and your loved ones. He knows.

Sometimes it may take a while to see a prayer come to pass, sometimes, God has better plans for you. Sometimes there is a lesson. All I know is, ever victory I see, I remember praying for it. And sometimes I ask God to show me His glory and say, please answer this prayer, just this one little thing, let me see you move on my behalf. And He does! He is just having mercy on my frailty because He knows the deep needs of my heart at that moment. He doesn't have to show His hand for us to know He is there, but I love it when He does! Pray BIG! Don't forget to build your life with God!

Prophetic Art uplifts our heart!

Prophetic Art Holy Spirit Dove, by Pam Herrick, artist at Just For You Prophetic Art. Quote,
Prophetic Art uplifts our heart because it speaks God's peace and hope to us. Like this painting of the Holy Spirit Symbol of a Dove surrounding and protecting our heart. Each person that sees it, God will talk to them through that piece of Art. God will speak to you through any art, actually, because He knows what you have need of when you look at it. With Prophetic Art, the artist at the time feels a painting from nudgings from the Holy Spirit. This painting may speak very loudly to some at that time. I believe God knew who needed to "hear" the message in the painting through their own eyes. And later, that very same painting will speak again differently to the same person or speak loudly again to others, because God deposited His Prophetic message in the painting. It speaks what He wants it to to the person seeing it. I love Prophetic Art for this reason.

Sometimes it is painted symbols, like A Dove, Bride of Christ, or Lion of Judah. Other times it is spiritual messages in random colors and shapes. Color is a powerful tool used to deliver a message, just like the colors used in flag worshiping and banners. I will make a post of the meaning of prophetic colors soon. A lot of people have asked for that, as well as what is Prophetic Art. Which is why I am sharing this post now.

I am am also sharing it to share my own struggles and how Prophetic Art helps me. I have been a little overwhelmed lately with family emergencies. I paint for peace and courage. God ministers to my heart through art and then uses that same art to minister to others what He knows they need. It blesses my heart so much to see this happen and His art come to life.

It helps me to see Prophetic Art, especially when my spirit is feeling attacked or low. I love to scroll through Facebook or Pinterest and see other people's Prophetic Art. By the time I look at a few, I feel empowered by the Holy Ghost! I have more courage and peace than before I looked! Notice how you feel after looking at Prophetic Art and notice what God's Spirit is saying to you. Listen to your art with your heart. Just let what you see sink in and comfort, empower or encourage you!

You are a Masterpiece!

7/13/2016

My Beloved Bryan, Prophetic Art ministry in his honor
This is my beloved Bryan, my reason to choose better health. What's yours? You are a masterpiece! Maybe you forgot that. God woke me up the other night with this idea, WRITE A LOVE LETTER TO YOURSELF FROM GOD. Seriously! I had been praying about what to share to help those I invited on this journey with me to lose weight and better health. I know many are in a funk like I was and don't know where to start to get out. A great starting point is your love letter! We beat ourselves up enough, we need love and encouragement. Sometimes our families around us don't know how to be that encouragement. My family has been great to help me with this, but God knows things deeper than they do. I know how hard it is to get motivated to loose weight or to just eat healthy. Somewhere, somehow, we just have to find our boot straps and give a good pull up! I have found, without God, I can't grab on to those stupid boot straps! Just venting, as this is not an easy process, it wasn't for me anyway, and the words, "Just Do It" are not so easy to follow. God knows what will help you, so first and foremost, pray and ask for His help. I am sharing what God has shown me with hopes He can use it to give courage to someone else.

Our heart is a big part of why, when, what and how we eat! So our heart is the first thing that needs healing. The food, once we make healthy adjustments, will do the healing to our bodies, because God put what our bodies need in the food. But our hearts, when beaten down, find it hard to make the right choices. Sometimes, honestly, to the point we don't want to take care of our self, knowingly or unknowingly.

So, back to the your love letter, write one as soon as possible. Take out a piece of paper and pen and get alone somewhere you will not be interrupted and you can pour your heart out to God. Talk to Him and tell him what has been on your mind and heart lately, what hurts. He knows everything, so don't be shy, tell him like it really is. Cry, vent, yell, whatever you need to do, get it all out. This is for you, to get it out of your heart and out there in the open where God can help you deal with it. After you are all done, pouring your heart out. Take out your piece of paper. Pray to God and ask Him to write a love letter to you, pray you only hear His voice...begin to write...make sure in the right tense, start off with something like, "My beloved daughter, (or My son, ) so you remember you are writing as though God is talking to you. Only one thing to remember before you start writing, God is love. He is not going to judge you, just love, so start your writing remembering that. Listen to God's heart for you and you will begin to hear more clearly. Make sure to write all you hear. Don't hurry, if there is a pause, gently listen and write.

Don't read further than here. Go write the letter and then come back.

No peeking past here!!!! lol. After you have written the letter, make sure you are alone, then read the letter back to yourself out loud. That letter is your bootstrap. God is going to help you! If you were waiting for a good day to start on a health journey to lose weight or to just be more healthy, today is a good day!

Everyday, you can turn to Him for help. Talk to Him and get the pains you may have out, and listen to Him for love and healing. You matter, and your heart matters to Him. Your life matters to Him.

We have to get our heart healing and look to Him to help us keep it healing. Then we can address how we look at food and what to eat or not to eat! Heart first!!!

God put beautiful food here on earth just for you! We can paint our bodies healthy, so to speak, from the inside out! We know we should eat better, but In our hustle and bustle world, we sometimes get so busy we end up grabbing food from a box, or as in my case, get so busy we forget to eat. Depression can also cause us to eat foods to help us feel better but they don't help our health. We miss all the wonderful stuff God put in fruits and vegetables that will make us healthy. Some foods can even cure certain diseases. Certain types of food actually help us to lose weight. Think of food painting you beautiful from the inside out! Think of your Masterpiece!

TODAY'S EASY TIP: Put Black Pepper on your food! Did you know it helps with your digestion? Not only that, it helps you with weight loss. It has a substance called Piperine that can stop the formation of new fat cells. Plus Black Pepper has antibacterial and and antioxidant effects, and even helps with gas! Shake on that pepper, it's healthy!!!!

If you missed last blog's tip, take a peek. Each blog I will be sharing one or more tips that help health and/or weight loss. I hope this was a help to someone one! I am going to keep sharing with you until I have lost the 50 lbs. I have to lose! For more tips you can also checkout my Pinterest health board. I will be sharing some of them here soon, I have lots there on Pinterest, but have not researched them all. I will only be sharing stuff here on my blog that I know works.  Here is Pinterest link, just find the health board. There are also neat art and recipe boards if you are interested. www.pinterest.com/JFYPropheticArt/

I would love to hear how you are doing and how your love letter from God touched your heart, if you would like to share.

Painting/picture on this post is my Beloved Son Bryan. He is my reason for wanting to take care of my health. He needs me. You can read his story here, www.pamherrick.com/inspirational-prophetic-art-and-story.html That is a plate of my food (eggs, avacodos, tomatoes and onions) I sat on his tummy. I feed him like this to keep him healthy, but would forget to feed myself! He eats really well! I have to puree it up to put in his tummy tube. The doctors said I couldn't. It was too hard and too much work. And I would not know what to feed him. I have fed my boy all my life, I know how to feed my kid, just as you know how to feed yours! And on that note, my son has not been to the hospital even once since since around 2010 when he got aspiration pneumonia from chocking on the formula the doctors wanted him to have. He gets all real food now, there is no chocking on formula any more (that used to happen when he was on a feeding pump with formula). Patients in Bryan's condition have multiple hospital visits all the time, I think if they ate real food they would do better! With that said, FOOD MATTERS! And for us, it matters! Eat as healthy as you can!!!

God bless you!!!!
Love,
Bryan's Mom (Pam)

Art and health, real beauty is inside you!

Picture
Real Beauty comes from the inside! Depression makes us forget our worth. I know, I have fought depression and by the grace of God, won. I am embarking upon a journey of healing and health I want to share with you. Art has been healing for my soul, but my body has been neglected. I thank God the Holy Ghost gave me gumption to do something about it. It is as though the enemy had been attacking me through my health since he could not reach my joy. Well, no more.

I have 50lbs. to loose. I just want a healthy weight, not my skinny killing myself driven weight. From years of heavy bodybuilding, I am pretty muscular and there is no skinny to ever be found in me again! All those muscles help me pull Bryan up in bed though! Thank the Lord! I'm a beast, lol! But an overly chubby one who feels the damage from years of stress since Bryan's accident. God restores us, and He is my hope.

Day one was fourth of July for me by the way. I usually eat one meal a day, maybe two...really bad idea, I know better, I just forget. I am sure the enemy plotted against me through that to undermine my health and well being. Well, enough! I'm taking back my health and not only that, I'm going to help others take theirs back! I hope what I have to share will help someone! I had been in a deep dark hole with this. I don't even know how I got there and I didn't know how  to get out... But God has given me courage to get going and conquer this mountain that has been crushing me!

If you have felt crushed, come on this journey with me! Let's encourage one another! I am going to gather up info I have known for years to share and also new stuff I found on Pinterest  for health, of which I have saved many and not done any!!! Lol, well, I am now! I will share the smart ones that actually help you. I have personal stuff I have learned over the years through experience of losing weight and when I was a personal trainer. So you can know me a little, to know I won't stir you wrong, I used to have people ask me all the time for diet plans and workout programs. The programs worked.

I AM SO EXCITED! Gonna take the Land! ....oh, back to fourth of July being day one, I Ate breakfast, lunch, dinner and two snacks,...and got sick! Not used to eating so much so my tummy hurt. That is how out of shape I am in. My body has been in starvation survival mode. It did not know what to do with all that healthy food! ....like the Chia seeds my daughter fed me! She is helping me eat by actually making breakfast and lunch for me, because she knows I won't. She is my Angel from God right now. I need help relearning how to live and take care of myself. I just lost my way in regards to health.

Today was day 3 and I did a workout called not your Momma's Yoga. I had purchased videos before but did not stick with it. I am old so lots I can not do and I have a broken back, so I modify. That's OK, I am proud of what I can do and you should be, too. So if you have an exercise video of any kind, do what you can and be proud of that. You don't need a video though. Mainly, just incorporate some working out through out your day if you are too busy for a scheduled routine, which is my plan to do personally to make sure I get it done! You can do a little at a time even if you are busy!

STRATEGY:  My main exercise strategy is to just move a lot. To do walking in place, side to side stepping, swinging arms up, out, dancing, wiggling, moving... while I am watching TV and through out the day when I think about it. Nothing fancy, just walk in place, move and dance for at least for five minutes at a time. All through out the day, that will add up! Also, for weight bearing exercise, when I notice I am grabbing milk or cans of food or anything with a wee bit of weight to it, I will do arm bicep curls, triceps kick backs, shoulder lifts, shrugs, etc. While doing dishes, I will remember to take a break to do some squats while holding on to the counter and also doing tippy toe exercises for my calves and working my adductor and abductors (inner and outer thigh muscles) by just lifting my leg out to the side and squeezing legs together to get the inner thigh. How easy is that?! Just do it when you do dishes and then it is done! While making dinner, you can move the food you are carrying or pots and pans, empty one, lol, no accidents! What ever you get your hands on can be used for easy weight lifting exercises. ...easy and done!

HUGE TIP: Drink an 8 ounce glass of water as soon as you get up. This one thing will help you lose weight and jump start your metabolism. The rest of the day, drink 7 more glasses. Your body needs it and did you know, if you don't have enough water intake, your body can not burn fat? Make sure to eat breakfast! I wait for a half hour after I drink that water before eating. And, well this might not be the best thing, but since I skipped breakfast because I hit the ground running taking care of Bryan, I started making a cup of instant coffee with milk instead of water. Well, it was better than nothing! I plan to still do that. ...only try to remember within two hours of that to eat something! I will remember that now. I have worked out a schedule to do so.

I will Write more soon and I will learn how to not be so wordy. Just want to get a post out tonight. I have not shared one in awhile. I was wrestling that depression! I WON! Thank you JESUS! I will be sharing blog post on my Facebook Art page where you can be notified when I share a new one by selecting get notifications from the like button. Since Facebook only shows to 6 to 10% of fans, this will make sure you actually get the chance to see the post. I will be sharing more art as well, so you will get to see new paintings when I make them. Here is the link, https://www.facebook.com/Propheticartjustforyou

Holy Spirit Dove - Quote God Restores - Pam Herrick - Just For You Prophetic Art.

Part 1: So here begins the story. On May 23, 2009 my son was hit by a car while crossing the road. He was flung through the air, landed and then a van ran over him dragging him through the intersection. They did not stop, it was a hit and run. He lost a lot of skin in that dragging. He broke a lot of bones, his head was hit really hard. And I can tell you I've hugged him a thousand times since, thousands and thousands actually, telling him I am so sorry that happened to him. Like as though my hugging and love could take away the pain that he went through. I'm Bryan's Mom, Mom's do that, we hug and love it away. I can only imagine the depths of God's heart wanting to hug and love our pain away.

Sometimes I miss Bryan so much and my own pain is so great I just need to be near him for me. I bend over Bryan's bed holding his head in my arms and just breath. I feel like I am breathing in the very life I need, like God is actually hugging and loving my pain away. And in that stillness, He is. And as God tells my heart it is ok, I tell Bryan. Of course sometimes I am sure I feel Bryan telling me it's ok. He was always such the encourager. God's gift to him and those around him.

The night at the hospital after Bryan's accident, I just sat there with my head bowed praying please Lord, don't let him die. Just writing this is making tears flow. I was so scared. I was prepared in my heart for him to leave, but I told God, if it was His will to take him, take him, "but just so You know God, I don't want him to die." Many were praying Bryan shall live and not die and declare the works of the Lord. The doctors told me he was not going to make it. He did! In the midst of all that, not that I don't have faith, but I never left Bryan's side because if he was going to die, I did not want him to be alone. Of course he wasn't alone, Jesus was right there, but a Mom is a Mom.

It is unbearable to dwell on what happened and God gives me the good sense to bring my focus back to being thankful for the life we have now. Although hard, believe me, very hard, God has given my heart a grace and comfort that can only come from Heaven. I look to Him daily for His help. Bryan requires care 24/7 because he can not do anything for himself. He has traumatic brain injury. Although his care is tiring at times, I can testify, God sustains. I learned that way back as a child. Sometimes, I can not help but weep, but God comes to me in those times and gives me hope.

Because God speaks to us through testimonies of others, here is more of my story of a journey where I found joy in the midst of pain. As a teen, my Mom was a drug dealer. She came to know the Lord later in life. God healed her of hurts and pains she had carried. She has since passed away, I miss her. I don't want to disrespect my Mom, but in my journey, some of the things I went through, God taught me how to not fall apart and be strong. So somethings I will share. If you only knew the depths God redeemed me from.

Particularly hard times were the days drugs were around.  I can remember a living room full of people passed out all over the floor from partying the night before and I walked through them to get to the door to walk to church. I had seen enough of what darkness had to offer, I didn't want it. I wanted God. I was hungry for truth and love and goodness, not what I saw around me. I had been raised going to church when I was little so I knew who Jesus was. And I ran to Him. And I fell and got back up and ran to Him again. It was a little hard growing up in the 70's when your own mom was a drug dealer and not do drugs. But like I said, I had seen enough and finally turned my back on it. It surely did not help my pain. But God helped my pain.

Brief (brief as possible) sum up of my pain, kind of a norm for this day and age, bless our hearts. My Mom moved to Fla. from NC and I was not around my Grandma anymore, broke my heart. She always tells me the story that I had told my Mom, if no one was going to take me to see my Grandma Betty Ball, I was gonna walk! She loves that story, I do, too. I also left my Grandma Dorthy and Grand Fathers. Both sets of grandparents were in same town. My Mom worked nights and I was all alone in the day while she slept. I explored a lot outside, alone, and I have a vague memory of talking to Jesus. I had learned about him in Sunday school. I would have to say early on I needed Him.

My Mom and Dad divorced when I was 6. My heart was more broken for my Daddy than for me. I saw his pain and it hurt. And I missed him. We moved back to NC. He stayed in Fla. So far away. He used to tuck me in every night and often sing to me with his guitar. I loved my Dad. And then he just wasn't there. That was hard. And I knew he missed me, that was hard. My mom remarried, that was not hard, my step dad was great. But then my mom started doing drugs, they split up.

My mom worked and sold drugs and I kind of became Mom to my younger brother and sisters. I cooked, cleaned, did their homework, my homework, got them off to school and then myself off to school and had a straight A average and held it together pretty good. But that was a lot of stress for a teenager. That wasn't the painful or hard part though. My mom just disappeared, SHE JUST LEFT, didn't tell anyone where she was. My one aunt told me she was gone. My Step Dad took my younger sisters and brother and my older brother and I had to find a place to live. I died inside not having my little sisters and brother around. I loved them. My mom leaving didn't compare to the pain of missing them.

I don't really like talking about all the pain, I want more to share how God gave me grace and joy and love through it all. But to understand the extent God's joy went, you'd have to know how deep the pain went. It got worse. I'm stopping here for now. I was 15 years old. I wanted goodness and God and all kinds of bad things were happening around me. So deep in my heart I started to turn to Him for comfort, He taught me where to run, I don't remember when HIS JOY replaced the pain, but it did. And that JOY remained and carried me through Bryan's accident and the pain of missing him now. He needs a miracle. He is a step above semi-comatose, he makes sighs when I hug him or moans if he does not like something, so he is aware, he just can't communicate. He is bed ridden. He can't do anything for himself, he has a trach and a feeding tube. We care for him at home and love him very deeply. Next time I write, I want to share Bryan's heart on Grace. What he was thinking before the accident, what he had learned on his journey. I am so proud of that boy!

I'll write more soon on His story. I just had to let you know how God prepared me for Bryan's accident. I will be sharing our pain, God's comfort, a message of hope! It is a work in progress that I will be sharing on my blog with the plans to one day write a book. My prayer is that my art and our story will be a blessing. I will publish when I am done. Please pray God helps me write. I am an artist, not a writer, so it is not easy for me. I invite you to be a part of this journey and believe with us for Bryan's healing. We appreciate your prayers! He was going into missions before his accident and I was going to sale my paintings to support those missions. Now I will support other missions in his honor. This is my way to carry on for him. It is like he still gets to go on missions around the world.

Prophetic art painting of butterflies and flowers by Pam Herrick, artist at Just For You Prophetic Art

Every child is an artist, the problem is staying an artist when you grow up. Or in other words, your life is completely beautiful and wonderful with beauty God put on the inside. Only you have your gorgeous box of crayons that paint on the canvas of this world. Your art, expressions from your heart, paint God's heart for His glory. Your life touches others. Shine what He put in you, it is not in anyone else. Your part matters! Paint away like a child. Don't be afraid to shine. You know, a kid can draw one huge eye and a tiny one, but we get the picture and they are proud of it! It is the heart speaking that matters. Never worry if it is going to look good, or sound good, just share your heart and shine, little eyes, big eyes or three eyes! I shine the best way I know how, even when the devil tells me I am not shining very good! Because I want my heart to stay like a kid who does not care if one eye is bigger than the other!

Daddy God is delighted in you shining what He put in you!!! Now go on and be an artist in your world. Color it with God's love He put in you!!!  I am using an artist as an example for sharing your life because it is pure beauty God put in you that comes out. It might be in a song, or cooking a meal, or telling a story, or compassion helping someone cross the street. ..... and still, back to the art, give any kid a crayon and they know what to do with it. Remember not to doubt you, you are you and can do very well with the gifts inside you!!! Bloom where you are planted, color your world!

I color here, https://www.pamherrick.com/prophetic-art-gallery.html Sharing God's love through art, in my little world of what He put in my crayon box! Please visit for inspirational stories and colorful art. I raise money for missions in my son's honor. He was going to be a missionary but got hit by a car while walking, then ran over and dragged by a van. He survived but is hurt to badly to go on missions now. His story is here, www.pamherrick.com/inspirational-prophetic-art-and-story.html I hope it is a blessing! It was a hard story to share.

I hope my art and stories are a blessing. To repeat myself, I shine the best way I know how, even when the devil tells me I am not shining very good! Because I want my heart to stay like a kid, who does not care if one eye is bigger than the other! I pray you be as a little kid, too, and see the Kingdom of God!

Love Pam!

Thank you so much! Blessings!

YOU ARE LOVED!

Prophetic art painting of Lion of Judah, Jesus hugging girl, Holy Spirit Dove and living water, by Pam Herrick, artist at Just For You Prophetic Art
You are safe in Arms of Jesus!
You are loved! My grand daughter was helping me wash Bryan's hair the other day, Bryan is my bedridden son we take care of at home. Out of nowhere, she said, "God really loves you...cause you take such good care of Bryan. You are keeping him alive and He thanks you for that." Tears! You know, I have some really hard days, and recently in my heart, without words, I had cried out to God for comfort. I love my son very much, but it is hard day in and day out. And as I said, I did not exactly put my heart cries into words, but God knew. I wanted to know he was proud of me. It would give me courage to keep going. So God sends my eight year old Grand Daughter to speak life and love to me, "You are loved!" is what was said in so many words!

She had no idea the impact her words had on my heart, or that God had even used her to deliver a healing message. So it is in all our lives. YOU ARE LOVED! God sees. He knows. He cares. We are not alone in our struggles. Out of the mouth of babes he will minister to you. Or through a sunset or a song. Even through a Facebook post! How many times someone has written something that hit the nail right on the head in my heart!

Sometimes, you are the one being used of God to deliver healing. If ever you feel led to lend an encouraging word, say what God nudged you to say. You have no idea the impact it will have on someones heart. God knows, and the person will find fuel of love to their bones to keep on going! I can live on months from that one little statement my Grand Daughter made. It went right to the heart of me.

God bless you whoever is reading this! Whatever you might be struggling with, a rough marriage, finances, parenting challenges (boy they are rough), or perhaps betrayal and discouragement. Hang in their beloved, you are not alone and God will see you to the end of it, to victory. Rest your heart in Him. You are loved!

I pray my art and stories are a blessing! I hope to start writing again and painting more. It has been a long season of not enough help to care for my son. I have been pretty exhausted. But, I have made it through my hard season and now press through all the more with prayers for my Son's healing! I invite you to pray for a miracle for Bryan. Thank you so much for your prayers and compassion! God bless you!!! Again, "YOU ARE LOVED!"
