It didn’t begin here.
It began with a painting I created over a decade ago called Joy’s Dance - the first piece I painted after Bryan’s Horse of Hope , click if interested in that story.
That season was not easy, but something sacred happened in the middle of it. Joy showed up anyway.
Because God meets you there.
In that original painting, you could see the storm swirling around her, and yet she was still dancing. That was the beginning of everything that followed.
Over time, that moment became a collection.
The woman… the movement… the flowing color…
and then, the lion.
The Lion of Judah began appearing as a presence of peace, strength, and covering. Not overpowering, not demanding… but steady, protective, and near.
In this piece, she rests against Him.
There is no striving here. No resistance. Just trust.
The movement still flows around them like a living current, but something has shifted. What once felt like a storm now feels like a dance. What once felt uncertain now feels held.
This is what joy can become.
Not just something you reach for in the light…
but something that finds you in the middle of everything.
You are not alone.
Joy comes in the morning.
This collection was born from that truth.
And it continues to unfold.
Rest here a bit.
