Part 57 - The You He Created

Sometimes life covers who we are,
but it cannot erase what God placed inside us.

Two elderly women sitting beside a peaceful Lion of Judah under a glowing moon by the sea, luminous blue and gold inspirational painting by Pam Herrick.
You are still in there.

🤎

Sometimes people live so long under pressure, fear, disappointment,
or other people’s expectations that

they forget themselves.

But the real you is still there.

Under the years.

Under the noise.

Under what life has done.

Part 57 of The Girl Who Chased Horses is a gentle reminder

that God has not forgotten who He created you to be.

You may have bent.

You may have gone quiet.

You may have lived small for too long.

But buried is not gone.

The spark can still breathe again.

The dream can still wake again.

The you He created is still there.

When You Feel Overlooked, Love Still Sees You

A Quiet Reminder That You Matter.

🤎

Glowing white dove rising through flowing blue, teal, crimson, and golden light currents, symbolic healing artwork by Pam Herrick.
You are not forgotten.
🧡

When life gets heavy, it can feel like you disappear into the background.
Like people move on.
Like your pain goes unnoticed.
Like your heart became invisible.
But that feeling is not the truth.
You are still seen.
Seen in the quiet moments.
Seen in the tears no one else noticed.
Seen in the strength it took just to keep going.
Sometimes the greatest love is not loud.
Sometimes it comes gently… like light breaking through.
If you needed this reminder today:
You matter.
You are not forgotten.
And love still knows your name.

The Fight Within - A Quiet Decision to Stand Again

4/23/2026

A moment where something shifts… and strength begins to rise again from within.

🤎

Woman in a flowing golden dress standing beside a river at sunset, gently holding a sword, surrounded by glowing light and cascading wisteria, symbolizing quiet strength, courage, and reclaiming identity.
A quiet moment of decision - where strength rises from within, and the courage to stand again begins.
🤎

There comes a moment when something shifts within you.
Not loudly… not all at once… but quietly, deeply.

A knowing begins to rise.

That you were never meant to stay where you’ve been.
That something in you is ready to stand again.

This piece reflects that moment.

The fight within - not of striving, but of choosing truth…
of releasing what was never yours to carry…

and allowing strength to rise, gently, from within.

This is part of a deeper story I am writing and sharing.

If you’d like to step into it, you can find it here:

Take courage…
the strength to stand again is already within you.
You are not alone.

The Girl Who Chased Horses - Chapter 55 - Let Go of Pain and Pick Up Hope

4/20/2026

A moment of remembering… and reclaiming who you are

🤎

White horse emerging through flowing color and light, surrounded by luminous movement and soft glowing flowers, symbolizing hope, renewal, and strength rising from within.
A moment where hope begins to rise again… and strength quietly returns from within.
🤎

Let go of pain and pick up hope… 🍃

This is the beginning of Part 55 in my story
The Girl Who Chased Horses

But before I go on… let’s take a moment for you.
Drop back to your youth.

What were you known for? What spirit did God put in you?

Do you still have it or did the enemy set out to destroy it? If he did, let’s get it back!
Or are you still blazing?
Who are you?

🤎

I am the girl who chased horses (and caught them!) and I am an overcomer!
But boy did the enemy try to destroy me.

If you would like, your story so others can see, they are not alone.
Take your time, share all you need.

I’m going to finish my book with you.

We are going to show God’s Glory. We are going to show what joy comes in the morning looks like.

Join me in a testimony to God’s goodness.

I’ll share Chapter One below, it’s actually my about page and why this art ministry started.

I’ve been away for years, beaten down so low. God has yet again redeemed my life. Time and again, He finds us.

🤎

I want to remind you who you are and Whose you are. You are a beloved child of God Almighty. Hold your head up. Take heart. You are going to be OK.

You are loved. You are not alone. You are seen. You are held. You matter.

Please share who God made you in the comments and your affirmation of who you know you are.

Then let’s remember it… and take back everything the enemy tried to steal from us.

Examples: brave, determined, kind, soft natured, adventurous, creative, organized, fun, silly, goofy, hilarious, disciplined, thrifty, funny, sweet, the one who kept their cool, smart, quick, witty, stern (in a good way), willing, ready, bright, hopeful, romantic, a dreamer, inventive, full of hope, ready to take on the world!

Let’s get her back! (Or him).

🤎

Part 55:

I am the Girl Who Chased Horses.

When I was young, I loved horses so much that I would ride any horse I could get my hands on.

I was fearless. I had a neighbor one time that said about some horses he had out in the field; If you can catch one, you can ride it.

I don’t think they thought I would actually catch one, but I did and I went on some rides of my life!

In chapter one, I shared my son’s horrific car accident where he was struck by one car and ran over by another, surviving, but with traumatic brain injury.

I shared a little of my upbringing, my mother being a drug dealer.

I wanted God.

Then, I up and married an alcoholic that unknown to me at the time was also a covert narcissist I thought I could rescue.

Also unknown to me… I would be torn down through decades until I didn’t recognize myself anymore and I was no longer fearless.

🤎

God has reminded me of who I am and against all odds and even the daily challenges I face now, He gives me strength, courage, hope, and a fight within to take back what the enemy stole.

And what I see personally and through comments you my friends have made, we want our life back. Some of us have been beat down. I’m here to tell you, that is not God’s plan for you.

I’m 62 years old. In May I will be 63. To all the older women like me, if you lost yourself… remember her! Testify in the comments who you are.

If you are young and haven’t lost yourself, take it from us who did for awhile, guard your heart with all diligence and live the life God put you on earth to live.

To those of us who have endured more battles than most, you in particular, there is a certain kind of crown for you in heaven.

🤎

For now, raise your head up. You are worthy. You are still standing for a reason. I release every bit of hope, courage and strength God has poured into my broken places to flow through you.

Pass it on. Pray it on. Let His river of hope and healing flow.

Every single hurt… is in God’s heart to heal. You are not forgotten. You are seen.

Stand up… and receive it.

In Jesus Name
Amen

Joy’s Dance – The Moment I Chose Joy

4/3/2026

Picture
A moment of breakthrough, where movement rises through the weight and joy is chosen, carried in flowing color and Spirit Flow motion.
There are moments in life
when everything shifts.
Not because the situation suddenly changes…
but because something inside of you does.

After Bryan’s accident,
I found myself in a place I didn’t recognize.

There was pain.
There was fear.
There was a weight that didn’t just sit on the surface -
it settled deep.

And for a while… I carried it.

But there comes a moment -
and you don’t always know when it’s coming -
when something in you rises up.

Not loudly.
Not dramatically.
But firmly.

A quiet, steady knowing:
I cannot stay here.

That was the moment Joy’s Dance was born.

Not as an idea.
Not as a composition.
But as a decision.

I sat down and painted with intention.
Not to create something beautiful…
but to break through what I was feeling.

Every movement of the brush was part of that.

Pushing.
Reaching.
Breaking through.

She isn’t just dancing in the painting.
She is moving through something.

Through the weight.
Through the resistance.
Through everything that tried to hold her down.

There comes a time in our lives
when we dig deep -
deeper than we thought we could go.

And through sheer bravery,
and the grace of God…
we decide:

We are going to be okay.

Not because everything is okay yet.
But because we are no longer surrendering to the darkness.

We draw a line.
And we choose something different.

For me, that choice was joy.

Not a surface-level happiness.
Not pretending things were fine.
But a deeper joy.

A joy that says:
• I will rise
• I will move
• I will not stay where pain placed me

A joy that comes with strength.
With movement.
With life.

Joy’s Dance was never about perfection.

If you look closely,
you’ll see it.

The proportions aren’t exact.
The form isn’t polished.

But the movement is real.

Because it wasn’t painted from technique.
It was painted from a moment
where something inside of me broke free.

And maybe you’re standing in that place now.

That place where the weight feels heavy.
Where the path forward isn’t clear.
Where everything in you feels tired.

If you are…
I want you to know this:

There is a moment available to you.

A moment where something inside of you can rise.

Where you can say:

I will not stay here.

And through the grace of God,
you can take a step -
not out of everything at once,
but out of surrender.

Joy is not always soft.

Sometimes joy is strength.
Sometimes joy is movement.
Sometimes joy looks like breaking through.

And when that moment comes -
you will know.

Because something inside of you will say:

It’s time.
