I have been around horses all my life. The stories I could tell! I was hit by a car going 55 mph while on my horse and I did not even get a scratch, nor my horse. But the car got dented from the front fender, through the doors, all the way through the back fender! This was back in the 70's when cars were real metal and hard! My horse jumped out into the road sideways because a stallion came running up from a field beside us and spooked her and then the car hit me! My leg was caught between the car and the horse. It was my leg that dented the car! I had a wee little bruise on my knee.
It really scared me though. I was kind of in shock and walked my horse to the other side of the road because that was where the stables were and I had been heading home. I could hear all the brakes squealing as I crossed the road. I got to the other side and the guy had stopped his car and came running asking me if I was alright. I nodded yes and asked how was his car. Looking back, what a question for a teenager to think to ask after just having been hit by a car..."is your car alright?" lol.
I will never forget his eyes when he walked to the other side of the car that had hit me. They got big as golf balls. He nervously said are you sure you are alright? We need to call an ambulance! I was like, no, please don't call an ambulance. I am OK. He called one anyway. Then I was like, please don't call my Mom. I don't want to get into trouble. I don't know what I was thinking. I guess I was thinking I would get in trouble for messing his car up. I don't think I was thinking too clearly at all. I just wanted to get back to the barn and put the horse up.
The ambulance came, and my Mom! I was not in trouble... of course. After seeing the car, everyone was thankful I was alive. No one could believe I was not seriously hurt. I think an Angel stepped between the car and I. It makes no sense my leg dented the entire side of the car and there was not a scratch on me or the horse! I can still hear the sound it made when it hit me. I don't remember feeling it. I just heard it. Something supernatural had to have happened!

Photo titled, " Momma's Dream" is my third attempt at drawing and painting with the computer. I am starting to get the hang of it. It is not very easy, lol.
